I grow weary

of the Brett Favre saga ...

I understand that when a professional athlete feels as though they can compete it's difficult to retract the retirement tears. But just like Mike should've, maybe Brett should retire after one of his best seasons in years.

I think he'll do well on the Jets though.

Even if he helps them double their win total from last year they'll only be 8-8. They'll miss the play-offs in the AFC. But at least in NY he can get some endorsements and make a little more $ -- like he needs more CACHE.

Why can't the JETS be better then 8-8? Sure they were 4-12 last year but the year before they were 10-6 and a wild card team. They made some big moves in the off season to bulster their O-line by getting Alan Faneca and FB Tony Richardson. They also improved their D-Line with Kris Jenkins.
Favre had similar or even less talented tools to work with in GB and still was able to manage pretty good offense.
Who do the JETS have to face in their divison besides the Patriots? Dolphins? Bills?
Favre is definetly a improvement over Pennington or Clemens. be ready to add Cotchery and Coles to your fantasy WR sleeper list as they finally have someone to air it out to them.
JETS go 10-6 in 2008 and claim a Wild Card spot.

WHAT? Are you spiking that that milk, man??? There's no way this Jets team is better than last year's GB team! The Jets will be lucky if they get 8 wins. How 'bout you wager the Du $10 on it.

Never said the JETS were better then last years Packers. Simply stated the JETS are better then last years JETS with Favre. I am not talking 5-11 better or even 8-8 better I am saying they are 10-6 in 2008.
Favre has no chance to play in GB they had already packed his bags and called a cab to take him back to the airport. His shot to play was somewhere else and somewhere else is in NY.
The JETS stunk last year cause their defense was awful. GB was awesome last year because their defense is awesome. Favre doesn't play defense, but the JETS have improved enough on D to lowere their PA/game and Favre has arguably similar tools on offense for the JETS as he did in GB. So the offense will be better.
You want to make a wager? I have no problem doing that. You say they'll be lucky to win 8 games. If the JETS win 9+ you pay me $20 if they lose 7+ I pay you $20. We'll leave the $10 Duhaime owes me out of this, its still collecting me interest from 15 years ago.

Well how does SoKo feel about the Jets now? Sure hope you remember to set that $20 aside so you can remember to pay it up when the JETS win game 9 and make it to the playoffs. Favre is no spring chicken anymore but he can still stretch the field and the rest of the new JETS (especially the O-Line) are making the running game that much better too. With Tom Brady done for the year, the AFC is pretty much up for grabs....
