Jerry Crasnick: covers baseball for ESPN.com and writes a regular column for Baseball America. He's been a Major League Baseball writer since 1988, and previously worked for newspapers in Cincinnati and Denver before covering sports business for Bloomberg News.

Ben Gucciardi (http://www.soccerwithoutborders.org/): Founder and Director of Soccer Without Borders. Ben has a Masters degree in global educational leadership from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, where he was a captain of the soccer team. Ben currently plays soccer for the San Francisco Seals and previously worked as the Girls' Sports Coordinator at the Jamestown Community Center. He has studied conflict resolution, interactive theatre, team building, assertive communication and ways of teaching mindfulness practices to youth. Ben has coached youth ages 5-18 at a variety of skill levels, and is currently coaching the Oakland Internationals U-19 boys and girls team in Oakland, CA, as part of SWB's involvement in the refugee and migrant student wellness program.

In terms of Soccer Without Borders, she has traveled to Grenada in the winter of 2008 to launch the girls program; and am is now directing that project site from afar. Over the past 16 months, the project has grown to have a year round volunteer presence, a local office/community center, and six weekly program events for girls, balancing between soccer opportunities and life-skills education. The local program is called T.E.A.M. Granada, which stands for Trabajando en Equipo Aprendemos Mas (Working as a Team we Learn More) and includes over 100 young girls as members and employees 9 Nicaraguan Youth Leaders.

2005 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Indiana State majoring in Social Studies Education and minoring in Economics. Played for the Sycamores from 2001-2005. Missouri Valley Conference First Team Academic All Conference. First year out (05-06), full-time graduate student in History at Indiana State. Received Master's in History Dec. 2008 (4.0 GPA). Went to grad school part-time while playing professionally. 2006-07 and 07-08 played professionally in LNBA (1st League) in Switzerland. Drafted by Fort Wayne Mad Ants (NBA D-League) in November 2008. Suffered a broken nose in training camp requiring surgery, so did not play this past season.

Grew up in Northeast Indiana, on a small farm south of Fort Wayne. Has done 2 international tours with Athletes in Action: Brazil (2006); Bulgaria & Czech Republic (2008). Volunteered with Youth for Christ and at a church while playing in Switzerland. Besides basketball, plays tennis (doubles) and ran Cross Country in high school. Also an Eagle Scout. 4-H.
