This week, July 12th:

Joe Fallon (former UVM goaltender):

2004-2005, the Bemidji, Minnesota native rewrote the school goaltending record books. Fallon finished his freshman season with a 17-10-4 record that included five shutouts in 32 appearances. His 1.96 goals against average ranked eighth in the nation while his .921 save percentage ranked 14th. He also finished 20th in the nation with a .613 winning percentage. Fallon’s 1.96 GAA and his five shutouts were new school single season records, while his .921 save percentage was the second highest single season record in school history. Fallon’s exceptional season earned him numerous honors including the ECACHL and the New England Divison I Rookie of the Year honors. He was also named to the ECACHL, USCHO and Inside College Hockey All-Rookie Teams. 2007-08, even though Fallon posted a 15-13-5 record with a 2.38 GAA and .915 save percentage during his senior season at the University of Vermont , it was a down year for the net-minder compared to previous seasons. That being said, Fallon became the schools’ all-time leader in shutouts (20) and is second all-time in NCAA history. He led the Catamounts to the Hockey East Conference final and was signed to an entry-level contract with the Chicago Blackhawks in April. 2008-09, assigned to ECHL Fresno, but moved to Gwinnett when Fresno folded.
