2008 NBA Finals: Game 6

Yesterday afternoon, 2:24 PM, the "Interested-insiders" received a text stating "Boston is breaking out the champagne tonight. Celtics by 13."

"I see it happening tonight. Not sure by 13 though." DJ/CO

As my brother-in-law (MI) told me the C's won despite Rondo's play, and a lot of times even in spite of KG's soft play, I called KG would get 20 & 10.

Now breaking this down, Rondo is quick, fast & good at getting the entire team involved. However, offensively, he looked terrible last night -- ESPECIALLY with his 21 points because he was 8/20, blowing by defenders then missing numerous lay-ups and 3-footers!

I like KG, although he gave the worst post-game interview ever. One can pass it off because he's so emotional. But wow, that was awful!

Last game my bro (MA) texted, "Pierce isn't flashy but he's the MVP of this series." Paul's a stud. His play-off performance solidifies him as one of the best in the league.

Now, I did receive this text, "Repeat? A lot of other teams will make wholesale changes." RB/NC
At first glance, I thought "NO way." But thinking about it, the C's have A LOT invested -- for temporary satisfaction. RG/NY sent an e-mail during the Detroit series sharing how the C's weren't built for a dynasty. They were built to win now.

Which they did in the regular season and play-offs!

There is a 2-3 year window for the C's to win again. But I just pray they don't repeat the after years of the 2006 Miami Heat Championship.

They better keep Posey and House, draft a tall big and get Tony Allen into some ball handling clinics.

As for Rondo, with work his ethic, the shooting will come. The last two year's he's learned to become "Doc" River's point guard; breaking pressure defense & distributing the ball to the best best players.
