1-8
Is there any consolation that NY is 1-8 vs. Boston?
Is Boston hungry? NY issued 12 walks and Boston left how many on base?

As much as I would love to gloat about the Yankees first win against the Red Sox in 2009 there isn't a whole lot to be proud of. Sure we got the big three run HRs from Melky and Posada, but most of that damage came off someone who probably should have retired a year ago (John Smoltz) and Billy Traber. The good half of the Sox bullpen was depleted the previous 3 days in Tampa and Jason Bay is out for the series. The Yanks are playing better but lets see how they do the next 3 games before I start proclaiming them the undeniable best in the East.
