USA 100m hopeful fails to qualify

As I mentioned previously I used to be a huge Carl Lewis fan. I loved watching the sprint events of the Olympics. Therefore when Gay hurt his hamstring 6 weeks ago in Eugene, Oregon I became nervous that USA's #1 100m gold medal contender may suffer in the Olympics.

Tyson Gay ran the fastest 100 meter ever recorded 6 days before the injury. 9.68. Though wind-aided, AMAZING.

Gay was eliminated with a 5th place finish in his semifinal.
