They are just So fast. You can't teach athleticism; but it takes a coach to put it all together -- that and players determined to win a common goal.
Coach K is a decent coach of course, at the collegiate level. But even more it's been the 3 year commitment of everyone to bring the gold back to the USA in these Olympics.
A previous post mentioned how one national sports talk contributor disliked the Olympics because it "promoted capitalism as patriotism."
I couldn't disagree more. The level these guys are playing at is not for another million dollar endorsement. The intensity and fun Team USA is displaying proves they are in Beijing for one unified accomplishment; to stand as TEAM USA on the podium with Olympic gold hung around their neck, the USA flag raised highest and the national anthem played across the stadium for all to recognize the greatness of this Dream Team's redemption.
